DIY: Needle Felted Bell Ball for Kitties

DIY: Needle Felted Bell Ball for Kitties

I love crafts and I love my cat.  It only makes sense that I figure out ways to create little trinkets and toys for her.  This is one of my go-tos for when my cat needs a toy or I feel like squeezing in a quickie craft.  I love this DIY because it really doesn't take that long, it is simple/cheap to do and you could upcycle old toys (I take the bells out of my cats toys she doesn't play with any longer). *Crafters Tip: If you have a Daiso near you go and stock up on felting wool and needles!  It's only $1.50 there!

YOU WILL NEED:

STEP 1: PIECE OUT YOUR WOOL AND TIE IT IN A KNOT

This step is easy enough!  You just want to take a chunk of the base color you want for your ball and tie it in a loose knot.  Once you have your knot, you want to nestle your bell in the middle and pull the knot real tight.  Make sure you can jingle wiggle the knot around to see that the ell doesn't fall out and you can still hear the jingle

STEP 2: Roll the wool into a ball.

Look at that happy, cracked out kitty.  Olivia spent about 2 hours chasing her ball and rubbing it all over her face after I gave it to her.  Then about a 12 hour nap to sleep off the nip.  Now it's a new day and I'm writing this DIY post and shes napping off round two her nip party.  I love felting my cat some toys BUT if you're ever on the lookout for some well made (and filled to the brim with cat nip) toys then go check out Kat and Amelia's Etsy shop!  Olivia has their mustache toy and LOVES it.
