Etsy Star Feature: Good Luxe Vintage
I am all about sharing the love. I think it's an incredibly important piece of being a part of a community. You don't gain anything by keeping secrets to yourself because most of the time, the truth floats to the top. Whenever I have someone ask me for advice or my opinion on their artistic abilities, I'm excited and eager to give them my two-cents. I want to share with them what I've learned and hope that they are able to use it. I don't see other artists or people in my field as competition. We all have styles and talents unique to ourselves and I believe to my core that there is enough room for everyone to make their place. They are my peers and I don't believe I'm going to get ahead by not sharing their talents or helping them in any way I can. Even if they don't ask for it, I like sharing. I will never dissuade someone who is thinking about being an artist or small business owner. Which is why I love Etsy. It allows people to start their ambitions with the bare minimum needed. Yes, there are thousands of other artists selling on there and yes it can feel like a saturated marketplace. Even so, it is still possible to find success on Etsy and it's still a great way to jump start your dreams.
One store and owner I admire beyond anyone is Kira, the vintage lover and treasure hunter behind Good Luxe Vintage. Kira has been running her etsy store for the last several years and has transitioned from having a day job and etsy store to a full time etsy seller. She is what I aim to be and as far as vintage sellers go, she's the real deal. This is a woman who lives and breathes vintage. Her descriptions, photos and inventory are stellar and she has even branched into designing her own jewelry which has been featured on other popular blogs. I am not just saying this as a friend of Kira's (and I do consider her one of my closest, dare I say, best friends) but as a repeat customer of Good Luxe Vintage. I have purchased sunglasses, jackets and shoes from her with absolute confidence because I know first hand how much work she puts into each detail. Very rarely will you find a vintage seller who goes to the lengths that she does to make sure that you, the buyer, is completely aware of every little thing you need to know about the piece you are interested in. She doesn’t just throw an item up with a price tag. Every listing is created to be informative and show the beauty of vintage while sharing everything she would want to know if she were the buyer and that’s just a piece of what makes Good Luxe Vintage so wonderful.
Vintage...Ankle...Leather...Booties? THANK YOU GOOD LUXE VINTAGE!

Her items are cleaned and ready to be shipped which has the added bonus of quick shipment. As an avid online shopper, I am usually frequenting her shop for new goodies as she updates her stock regularly. She finds great stuff and her prices are so reasonable, it's practically impossible to find something you don't love. While writing this, it’s taken everything within me to not go on a shopping binge in her store (Cream 70’s Knit dress...you’re callin’ my name). She doesn’t just limit herself to clothing however.
While that is her main passion, her love for vintage books and knick-knacks also shines through her store. The bottom line: if you are a vintage lover then check out Good Luxe Vintage now. Kira’s love for all things vintage is apparent from her store and her professionalism is something we should all strive for.
I can not stress this enough: read vintage seller's descriptions. You can't judge a vintage find by its photo and more often than not, people ignore the obvious call outs on a flawed item. Does an items price seem too good to be true? Check the description. Usually you'll see that a price is reflecting an items condition. Save yourself and the vintage sellers time by double checking the description. This isn't brain surgery people. Your buying an article of clothing that is at least 25 years old and while some sellers don't go to the lengths that Kira goes, you still don't want to miss that important piece of info that could keep you from buying that special piece.
