Amelia's Self-Care Coloring Book Wishlist
Sure, I’m the one who colors them, but I can tell Amelia is the one who yearns for them…I’m not projecting…I swear! Outside of those listed on my previous post found here, I have a secret bag at work that I’ve snuck in two coloring books (a jungle one and a Scandinavian folk art book with some extra colored pencils) for the times when I’m feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or like I need “me time.” These are the books Amelia and I are longing to sneak into work or my home-collection. If you have some other suggestions or have experience with any of these, we’d love to hear from you in the comments!
This is at the top of my list, and by that I mean: in my cart and my hand is currently hovering over the “purchase” button. By the end of this article, it (and a few others) will likely be on the way. If you’ve ever wanted to coloring and not have to draw your own coloring book, this is for you! Batman is my favorite hero, so the fact that I’ve managed to hold off from purchasing this for so long means I’m due for a purchase real soon! Not a Batman or DC fan? Don’t worry, Marvel has Avengers and Deadpool options for you to get into!
I’ll take 5 of everything in this shop please! I love Supernatural. I was pulled into this show early on, and I am not ashamed to say that I still enjoy binge-watching it on Netflix regularly. They make some fabulous greeting cards and a few excellent coloring books! I am looking forward to snagging myself a Supernatural one!!
Crazy talented shop with some awesome coloring page options! When I’m able I want to select a few and make a fun coloring book to take around with me! They’re a pretty new shop (this year) and I am hoping to see more from them!
This is one is one in a set of two, and they both bring some of Tolkien’s world to life in such an enticing and stunning way. I not only read and loved the books, but am disgustingly obsessed with the films. It’s a book that I have looked at time and time again and wished was in my collection.
5. SWEAR WORD COLORING BOOK - $8.99
Coloring in four letter words causes me to giggle uncontrollably. This book summons a few different relaxation and self-care techniques. Not only does it bring about the centered mindfulness many of these books offer, but it brings in the taboo joy of our favorite four letter words that can encourage fits of giggles, feelings of relief, and spontaneous joy.
A stunning appreciation of the female form! These women look confident, proud, and comfortable. This book very much embodies the confidence and comfort and acceptance of bodies that I’d love to see in everyone. Outside of this naughty book, this talented artist offers a ton of other book options or coloring pages. Zombies, tea, ladies, Dia De Los Muertos, and so many others. I’m already having a tough time deciding on which one is for me!
As I mentioned in my last post, the nerd is embraced in the coloring world. Be whisked off to travel all of time and space with the Doctor, and be a loyal adventure seeking companion as you defend the universe from Daleks and Cybermen. At least, I imagine that’s how I’d feel if I had this bad boy in my grasp. I’m a Whovian, if my TARDIS toy or maybe the 3D-Glasses gave it away? Either way, this book needs to make its way to me ASAP!
8. OCTOPUS COLORING BOOK - $6.00
The word NEED is not strong enough. I must, have to, am required to own this book! These adorable, intelligent creatures demand for you take them home and scribble them to bits. This artist has some killer cards, sells individual pages, and has some great review of their work! Check them out and grab some happiness!!
9. COLOR ME CLUTTERED - $10.36
Please, please, please ship this to Sebastian! I think if he colored the clutter he may learn to love the clutter. Amelia has learned to embrace it, Sebastian is still working towards the “acceptance” phase on this one. I truly believe this could help him a long a little bit.
Amelia longs to be in another country. She’s staring out the front window imaging the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower, or maybe Big Ben. This book is about as close as she’ll make it to those places, so I want to make that happen for her! So one day I’ll grab her this and make all her dreams come true!
Give these talented people some love, and check out their work!
Until next time, stay healthy!
